Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS 14+ (Apple Silicon and Intel) — the installer bundles everything, no Python required; Linux runs from source. Your data stays in text files on your machine. The AI is optional and runs locally via Ollama (your own machine or home network); with a GPU (~8 GB VRAM) it answers in seconds, slower without. Everything else works without the AI.
The complete source code is going live on GitHub shortly. Aviesto is source-available — but deliberately not an OSI “open-source” licence: private use is free (including letting your own property), commercial use requires a licence. Once live, the releases will also hold the installers for Windows and Mac, manuals as PDF and the place to report bugs or suggest features.
